VMware, a US-based cloud computing and virtualisation technology firm, has expanded its decade-long collaboration with Indian IT firm Wipro to drive the digital transformation of customers.

As part of the expanded partnership, VMware Cross-Cloud services will be combined with Wipro FullStride Cloud Services to help global enterprises speed up app modernisation.

The integration is also expected to enable businesses to decrease the cost, complexity, and risk of shifting to the cloud.

VMware Cross-Cloud is said to be an integrated portfolio of SaaS solutions to develop, run, manage and secure all apps across any cloud.

Wipro FullStride Cloud Services, which was launched in July 2021, brings together Wipro’s cloud-related capabilities, offerings, and talent to better arrange the cloud journey for clients.

VMware will collaborate with Wipro to help remove the complexity and risk involved in the multi-cloud initiatives of customers.

The Indian IT firm will offer a complete portfolio of digital transformation services which includes VMware Cross-Cloud services in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.

VMware strategic ecosystem and industry solutions senior vice president Zia Yusuf said: “Digital transformation and multi-cloud are inseparable concepts, requiring that industry leaders such as VMware and Wipro bring together our collective strengths to help make multi-cloud as easy to adopt and manage as possible.

“Together, VMware and Wipro are providing enterprises the solutions and services they need to harness the power of multi-cloud to achieve value from technology investments faster, compete more effectively, and operate their businesses more efficiently and securely.”

Through the combination of Wipro FullStride Cloud Services and VMware Cross-Cloud services, customers can address priorities like scaling cloud-native platform operations as well as expedite enterprise cloud transformation.
