China-based cloud company Tencent Cloud has partnered with Indonesian digital banking platform Allo Bank to boost digital banking in Indonesia.

Through the collaboration, Tencent Cloud has supported Allo Bank to enhance the Allo app with high-quality and secure services.

The services include TDSQL which is a scalable database management system with computing and storage resources for the bank to effectively manage vast quantities of data.

The optimised thread pool scheduling algorithms of TDSQL allow it to provide better heavy load performance that is crucial for managing Allo Bank’s large volume of transactions.

Besides, the database management system’s compatibility with MySQL protocols allows the Indonesian digital banking platform to easily integrate with its existing systems and applications.

Furthermore, TDSQL’s horizontal scaling capability enables businesses including Allo Bank to expand without downtime.

Allo Bank expects to process up to 100,000 daily transactions with TDSQL’s high-performance computing and storage resources.

Established in 2013, Tencent Cloud offers solutions to address real-world issues and enable digital transformation for smart industries.

The firm also provides businesses with stable and secure cloud products and services by utilising technological advancements including cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT) and network security.

Tencent Cloud has deployed two internet data centres (IDC) in Indonesia since 2021.

Tencent Cloud international vice president and South East Asia managing director Jimmy Chen said: “We are pleased to enhance digital banking in Indonesia with cutting-edge technology such as TDSQL.

“Leveraging our years of global experience and expertise, Tencent Cloud is confident in providing Allo Bank with tailored solutions and services that fulfil its specific needs. We look forward to more collaborations in the future, including partnerships for additional solutions and services like eKYC.”

Allo Bank will be able to reduce the cost of app download distribution, UAT & Dev Environment with TDSQL which leverages public cloud capabilities such as cloud hosting and CDN, said Tencent Cloud.

TDSQL will also offer app reinforcement and environment security protection solutions that can identify risks on the bank app side.

Allo Bank president, director and CEO Indra Utoyo said: “Thanks to our valuable collaboration with Tencent Cloud, Allo Bank has been given a large boost in achieving its goals of managing vast amounts of data, handling high-frequency transactions, ensuring online security, and managing risk control – with the aim of providing a revolutionary service to all digital banking users in Indonesia.”
