Financial technology solutions provider SBS has teamed up with enterprise open-source solutions firm Red Hat to expedite digital transformation for global financial institutions.
The partnership aims to support banks and financial institutions in adopting modern digital infrastructures by leveraging the hybrid cloud application platform Red Hat OpenShift.
Besides, the collaboration will enable financial institutions to deploy and scale cloud-based software applications more effectively while integrating them seamlessly into their existing systems.
As the financial services sector accelerates digitisation, 90% of institutions are adopting a hybrid cloud approach, combining on-premise systems with public cloud technologies, said SBS.
SBS CEO Eric Bierry said: “Working with Red Hat underscores our commitment to guiding our clients through their digital transformation journeys, which for many begins with cloud migration.
“With Red Hat OpenShift, we’re giving our clients the flexibility to leverage a cloud-agnostic strategy with a fully managed application platform. It’s a strategic play for institutions that want to benefit from the cloud while still addressing security and compliance requirements for their critical data.”
Under the partnership, SBS will utilise Red Hat OpenShift’s cloud-native framework to power its next-generation financial software solutions.
The hybrid cloud platform allows institutions to achieve increased flexibility, scalability, and agility without disrupting their current systems or compromising data integrity.
SBS’s global operations across more than 80 markets will benefit from the collaboration by tailoring solutions to meet local regulations and requirements.
Additionally, the company will provide clients with localised technical support for Red Hat OpenShift, addressing unique cultural and linguistic needs.
Red Hat EMEA ecosystems vice president Penny Philpot said: “We’re pleased to collaborate with SBS, which is deeply engaged with financial services institutions in the region, to help address the application development needs of the financial sector.
“We look forward to providing financial institutions with a more flexible, scalable path to modernising their infrastructures on Red Hat OpenShift.”
The partnership builds on an established foundation with Sopra Steria, SBS’s former parent company and now partner.
Sopra Steria, a Red Hat Premier Business Partner in multiple European countries, has long utilised Red Hat technologies to drive digital transformation and modernisation initiatives.
