US-based financial and operational solutions provider Insightsoftware has rolled out Simba Workday Drivers to improve data-driven decision-making for financial organisations.
The new drivers are designed to provide secure access to Workday data for analytics, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and custom application development.
They leverage ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) and JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) technologies to address data connectivity challenges in everyday operations.
Insightsoftware data and analytics general manager Jay Allardyce said: “Simba Workday Drivers makes it easier to confidently and securely use all of the data in Workday, empowering users with seamless integrations that accelerate data access and speed time to insight.
“This solution underscores our commitment to enabling organizations to break down data silos and realise the full potential of their data, driving better decisions and business outcomes.”
According to the company, organisations need to integrate data across cloud-based platforms to perform detailed analytics and make faster, more informed decisions.
However, reporting and ETL tools often fail to maintain connectivity with certain data sources, creating integration challenges for users.
Insightsoftware said that 98% of finance teams face data integration challenges, while only 51% integrate data with HR information systems.
Its Simba Drivers are reliable data bridges that easily connect data sources within existing workflows, providing smooth data flow and real-time insights.
The drivers allow organisations to effectively leverage their Workday investments, and support teams to enhance reporting, automate workflows, and drive smarter decisions.
In addition, Simba Workday also provides actionable insights with superior query performance, while prioritising data protection and compliance, said Insightsoftware.
Dresner Advisory founder and chief research officer Howard Dresner said: “Our research shows that 77% of respondents indicate data engineering is critical or very important, reflecting the increased demand for access to analytical data as well as the ongoing fragmentation of data sources and targets.
“Data-engineering pipelines and data integration provide the means to simplify and speed access to relevant, qualified, and governed analytical content, and to link operational and financial data, which is essential for effective data-driven decision-making.
“Additionally, successful analytics initiatives often correlate with organizations that view data integration as a critical priority.”
