Infosys, AWS join forces to expedite cloud transformation for financial firms across EMEA

The partnership aims to offer technology transformation and industry specific solutions to financial organisations backed by joint investments into go-to-market and delivery capabilities across the region

Indian digital services and consulting company Infosys signed a new three-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to expedite the cloud transformation of financial institutions across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The partnership aims to offer technology transformation and industry specific solutions to financial organisations. This will be underpinned by joint investments into go-to-market and delivery capabilities across the EMEA region.

Both parties will support financial institutions to speed up their cloud adoption journeys by utilising industry proven capabilities to provide specialised end-to-end cloud migration and modernisation services.

The collaboration will allow clients to access transformative cloud services from AWS and domain knowledge and delivery from Infosys.

Besides, they will be helped with Infosys Capital Markets’ expertise in transforming business models and modernising applications to deliver operational efficiency.

Infosys executive vice president and banking and financial services global head Dennis Gada said: “AWS is a pioneer in cloud innovation, and by bringing together our expertise in delivering technology transformation at scale and our unwavering customer centric approach, we are excited to bring a comprehensive and industry-leading offering to our financial services clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“By leveraging Infosys Cobalt’s industry cloud solutions, assets and frameworks, we are committed to helping financial organisations accelerate their business outcomes.”

The partnership will also deliver industry specific use cases that utilise AWS’ cloud native innovation including generative artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics.

Customers are also expected to gain from production-ready shared toolsets and certified architectural and security blueprints to speed up adoption and ensure compliance.

Furthermore, Infosys and AWS will jointly develop go-to-market strategies and make co-investments over the next three years.

The key areas of collaboration include accelerating growth of ongoing large-scale transformations, working together with fintech partners for new cloud-based solutions and investing in joint innovation to deliver new products and services.

AWS GFS EMEA sales director Mark Jopling said: “Together with Infosys, we will extend the reach of our combined services and expertise to help financial institutions innovate more quickly and increase their agility as they continue facing rapidly changing economic conditions.

“Combining our cutting-edge cloud innovation with Infosys’ technology transformation expertise, we now offer customers more capabilities and solutions to specific financial industry challenges at speed and scale.”
