Business management software provider Access Group has agreed to acquire accounts payable (AP) automation company Lightyear.

Established in 2017, Lightyear is a cloud app developed to automate large, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and enterprise-level purchasing, accounts payables and expenses processes.

The firm’s all-in-one portfolio of finance automation solutions helps in automating manual, time-consuming and error-prone tasks to enable customers to focus on value-adding initiatives to expedite their growth and reduce costs.

Through the acquisition of Lightyear, Access Group aims to extend its offering in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software across the world. The company also plans to modernise the purchasing and AP customer experience.

Besides, Lightyear is expected to provide an end-to-end integrated solution for customers that manages the spending needs of businesses by focusing on efficiency, control and visibility.
