Infosys has joined forces with Clearstream, the post-trade services division of German capital market company Deutsche Börse, to strengthen the digital issuance platform.

Both parties intend to streamline securities issuance and servicing.

The Indian digital services and consulting company’s collaboration has supported the launch of Clearstream’s Generation 2 D7 platform. This digital post-trade platform enables market participants to issue securities digitally.

In this project, Infosys has supported Deutsche Börse’s post-trade services unit in implementing, customising, and deploying the platform. The Indian firm offered support throughout the go-live phase and after the launch of the project.

Clearstream chief technology officer Daniel Besse said: “The successful release of D7 Generation 2 is a major achievement and sets the standard for our clients and the industry as a whole, making the digital issuance process faster, easier, and more efficient.

“Throughout this project, the collaboration of Clearstream and Infosys has been very productive. The enhanced platform lays the foundation for future digitisation of financial markets as adapting to market changes can be done expeditiously.”

According to Infosys, Clearstream’s latest digital post-trade platform establishes a foundation of institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure. This is aimed at unlocking the value of asset tokenisation and digital assets.

Moreover, the D7 platform is expected to accelerate time-to-market for the exchange group’s customers as well as improve their profitability.

Infosys banking and financial services executive vice president and global head Dennis Gada said: “We are delighted to have collaborated with Clearstream, part of Deutsche Börse, on their digital transformation journey towards the D7 platform for issuance of securities.

“This integration has empowered Clearstream to enhance time-to-market, streamline operations, simplify their technology landscape, and effectively manage regulatory changes, all while fostering sustainable growth. This transformation sets an example for future modernisation and digitisation of the securities and stock exchange industry.”

Earlier this year, Deutsche Börse partnered with Google Cloud to improve and streamline its cloud adoption. The European stock exchange operator selected Google Cloud as its preferred partner for cloud consumption for the next 10 years.
