Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management (ISPWM) has selected Universal Investment Group (UI) as the new Management Company for its UCITS SICAV portfolio in Luxembourg.

ISPWM is Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s newly formed wealth management branch in Luxembourg. It specialises in enhancing personal wealth assets.

The partnership builds on Intesa Sanpaolo’s collaboration with UI as the Central Administrator and the Luxembourg savings bank Spuerkeess as the Custodian.

Intesa Sanpaolo has successfully migrated SICAV portfolio to the UI platform.

Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management CEO Marc Flammang said: “Partnering with Universal Investment Group elevates our commitment to excellence and sustainable value creation.

“We are dedicated to upholding our standards of reliability and transparency as we continue to create tailored strategies that grow and safeguard our clients’ wealth over the long term.”

ISPWM was formed in January last year, after the merger between Fideuram Bank (Luxembourg) and CBP Quilvest.

It is the new European hub of Fideuram, Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking (FISPB), the Private Banking Division of the Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group.

Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intesa Sanpaolo, which enables the company to develop its international private banking activities.

It operates from Luxembourg and its branch in Belgium, the Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management – Belgium Branch, with offices in Ghent and Brussels.

Universal Investment sales and fund distribution area head Marcus Kuntz said: “We are excited to have Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management join our Luxembourg platform.

“They bring a level of expertise and professionalism that is recognised worldwide, enhancing our ongoing ambition to serve asset managers and expand our footprint in Southern Europe and beyond.

“We are very much looking forward to growing together with ISPWM and propelling their success.”

Recently, UI extended the management team of its German third-party management company (KVG), Universal-Investment-Gesellschaft (UID).
