IBM has launched a new software called IBM Business Analytics Enterprise, developed to assist enterprises in breaking down data and analytics silos to allow them to make faster data-driven decisions and manage unpredictable disruptions.
The IBM Business Analytics Enterprise is a suite of business intelligence planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and dashboard capabilities. It is intended to offer users with a robust view of data sources across their whole business, said IBM.
The suite also provides customers with a new IBM Analytics Content Hub to help improve how users discover and access analytics along with planning tools from various vendors in one customised dashboard view.
IBM data, AI, and automation general manager Dinesh Nirmal said: “Businesses today are trying to become more data-driven than ever as they navigate the unexpected in the face of supply chain disruptions, labour and skills shortages and regulatory changes.
“But to truly be data-driven, organisations need to be able to provide their different teams with more comprehensive access to analytics tools and a more complete picture of their business data, without jeopardising their compliance, security or privacy programs.
“IBM Business Analytics Enterprise offers a way to bring together analytics tools in a single view, regardless of which vendor it comes from or where the data resides.”
The suite also has IBM Planning Analytics with Watson, IBM Cognos Analytics with Watson, and other common business intelligence tools.
IBM Analytics Content Hub, which is integrated with the new software, includes algorithms that can suggest role-based content. This will help users discover new stories, reports, and dashboards from across the company to help in decision-making, stated IBM.
The new software will assist enterprise data in being easily shared, while keeping it protected and preventing data duplication by offering users across departments a single point of entry to access the data they need.
