Plumery, a provider of digital banking experience platforms, has announced a collaboration with Darien Technology to support the transformation of digital banking services across South America and Spain.

The partnership is designed to help financial institutions implement modern digital platforms without the need for large-scale core system replacements.

The agreement will combine Plumery’s API-first architecture with Darien Technology’s consultancy and delivery capabilities in financial services.

By integrating Plumery’s modular platform with existing core infrastructure, the two companies aim to facilitate scalable digital banking solutions that are easier to deploy and maintain.

Plumery stated that the partnership will enable banks and fintech firms to introduce omnichannel services across web and mobile applications, addressing onboarding, KYC processes, user engagement, and loan origination.

The goal is to allow institutions to respond more efficiently to evolving customer expectations through a modular, event-driven technology stack.

Plumery founder and CEO Ben Goldin said: “This partnership allows us to extend Plumery’s reach into markets that are undergoing rapid digital change but are often held back by rigid legacy systems.

“Our platform provides the foundation for financial institutions to deliver seamless digital banking journeys that are easy to launch, fully customisable, and designed to scale.

“Through a focus on speed, cost-efficiency, and customer experience, we’re giving institutions the autonomy to evolve continuously without being tied to expensive vendor lock-ins or slow, professional service-heavy delivery models.”

The joint proposition offers integration with existing banking infrastructure, enabling institutions to modernise digital channels while retaining control over user experiences.

Plumery’s cloud-native infrastructure supports real-time updates and flexible deployment, while Darien Technology will provide local implementation expertise and UX/UI design support.

The companies aim to offer a cost-effective path to digital transformation that avoids vendor dependency and lengthy deployment cycles. The combined offering is intended to suit regional institutions with limited resources but growing demand for customer-facing digital capabilities.

Earlier this year, Plumery expanded its partner network through an alliance with Smile ID, a leading provider of digital identity verification solutions in Africa. The collaboration allows financial institutions to combine Plumery’s API-first banking platform with Smile ID’s authentication and fraud prevention tools.

The integration supports financial institutions in delivering secure onboarding, reducing implementation complexity, and enhancing identity validation procedures.

By connecting its modular banking interface with Smile ID’s tools, Plumery aims to help banks and fintechs across Africa maintain regulatory compliance while improving digital customer engagement.
