Estonia-based core banking provider Tuum has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance the scalability, security, and performance of digital banking services across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The collaboration aims to empower financial institutions with fast deployment, smooth integration, and cost-effective operations, establishing a new benchmark in the fintech industry.

Building on Google Cloud’s infrastructure already deployed in Saudi Arabia, Tuum plans to grow its business across the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

Using Google Cloud’s infrastructure, the core banking provider aims to help financial institutions scale easily and securely while managing customer demands and regulatory requirements.

Under the partnership, Tuum and Google Cloud will focus on optimising data handling and processing capabilities, to achieve high performance and reliability in financial services.

Tuum global partnerships VP Jean Souto said: “Working with Google Cloud will enable us to offer our clients not only the most advanced technology stack but also the confidence of partnering with a leader in secure and sustainable cloud services.

“This partnership is a cornerstone for Tuum as we aim to redefine what financial institutions can achieve with our cloud-native, modular, API-first banking platform.”

Tuum said that Google Cloud’s security protocols will further enhance its offerings, providing advanced data protection and privacy for clients in the sensitive financial sector.

In addition, the collaboration will focus on reducing operational costs and complexity, enabling clients to benefit from a more streamlined and efficient banking infrastructure.

The partnership has the potential to advance digital transformation for banks and fintechs in the EMEA region, allowing them to provide personalised banking experiences to customers.

Google Cloud industry ISV partnerships director Anil Saboo said: “As financial institutions accelerate their digital transformation, they need innovative technology solutions to stay ahead.

“By leveraging Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and advanced technology, Tuum is enabling these institutions to enhance their digital banking capabilities at scale.”

Last year, Tuum partnered with fintech firm Fourthline to provide European financial institutions with a core banking solution that includes client onboarding and monitoring.
